Biography:
Virginia Smith was born in Ross Township,Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She enlisted
with the Pennsylvania State Police in March, 1975,
and upon graduation was assigned to Troop "E", Erie, Franklin Station.


Virginia Smith was the first female in the history of the Pennsylvania
State Police to be promoted to the rank of Major
